How much area do your cameras cover?


Each Croptimus™ camera can cover an area of 400m2. The number of cameras required may be affected by the design of your grow area (ceiling height for example) and any obstacles which might interfere with the camera's field of view. 

Do I need a power outlet for each camera?


No! The cameras are powered by the CAT 6 ethernet cable used to connect to your network.

What pests & diseases does Croptimus™ detect?


The list of crop issues that Croptimus™ detects is expanding every day!
At present our A.I. detects:

How long does Croptimus™ take to install?


Croptimus™ is designed to be up and running in your facility within hours. While some installations may be more complicated due to the nature of that facility's layout, Fermata does not require that operations are suspended to perform the install and you'll be up and running in no time!

What can you expect after Croptimus™ is installed?


Once Croptimus™ is installed within your facility, the Artificial Intelligence algorithms require a 2-3 week calibration period, as every growing space is unique, and machine learning requires some time to fully acclimatize to your facility. During this time, meetings with your staff are held to determine what's important to your grow in terms of issues detected, and what the A.I. can safely ignore. Once this phase is completed, the automated system will notify you when any important issue is detected! 

 

How to change password?


Images collected are processed locally at your facility by our A.I. classifier, then they are transmitted to your own company-specific Virtual Private Cloud on AWS servers via an encrypted connection. Once issues are verified by our IPM team, an alert is transmitted to the Croptimus™ application, notifying the user of the new issues detected.

How much does Croptimus™ cost?


Croptimus pricing is determined by the nature of your facility's design with respect to the number of cameras required to cover your canopy. A custom solution and associated pricing is designed for each of our clients. Typically costs represent a very small percentage of revenue per square metre or ft2. In actuality, given Croptimus™ provides a substantial return on investment, it pays for itself in relatively short order for most growers. To find out what your facility's costs might be,

What are the costs for the hardware?

Croptimus is hardware agnostic so long as it meets our image quality specifications, and we do not take profit from hardware sales. You may purchase them for yourself or we can supply them. The cameras we recommend (Hikvision 4-inch 4 MP 25X) are €450. 

Is there a minimum contract term?


Croptimus™ contracts are generally for 1 year; however, you may cancel the service at any time with only 30 days notice with no associated cost to you.
